Admission requirements

The admission requirements for all modules are:

  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • Familiar with semiconductor physics, semiconductor devices and power electronics
  • English language proficiency

The admission is based on the goal to only admit applicants who are likely to be successful in this in-depth engineering and science program on Master level. Applications are assessed based on your academic and professional experience. Please contact the program office in case of any questions or regarding an assessment of your application documents.

  • Completed and signed application form
  • CV in English
  • Diplomas and degree certificates of your previous academic degree(s)
  • Transcript of records with grades of your previous academic degree(s)

Certificates and transcripts in languages other than English or German must be accompanied by an official English or German translation. Further documents may be requested in the course of the admission procedure.

Admission procedure

1. Get an Individual Assessment

Contact the program office to get your individual assessment. You will be asked to provide a current curriculum vitae (CV) and a transcript of your previous degree. The program office will then assess your chances of admission. You may also ask which module would be most suitable for you. This step is optional.

2. Submit Application

Submit your application documents before October 1st each year for modules starting in October and before April 1st for modules starting in April. All documents should be submitted as scanned .pdf files.

3. Receive Admission Documents

Your admission documents will be reviewed according to your academic and professional background. After your successful admission, you will receive your admission documents and an invitation to the online starting session, which is usually during the first week of the semester. During this session the details of the program and the online learning platform are introduced.

4. Pay Fee and Start the Module

After you have paid the fee for the module, you are officially registered and your account is opened to start with the e-lectures and modules.
